Rev. Rock Fremont was born in Marion, Ohio to Rock and Mary Fremont. In the early 1980s, they moved to Arizona and settled in the southwest valley. Rev. Rock's dad works in construction and his first job out here was to excavate and pour the concrete for what would become the I-10 Freeway. His mom began working at the Phoenix Fire Department, running their uniform supply, and will retire next Spring after 30 years of service. Rock grew up in South Mountain Community Church, a UCC federated congregation with the United Methodists, and attended Carl Hayden High School, where he was involved in FFA and sometimes drove a tractor to school! Ten years ago, after living downtown for a spell, his partner Ernie and he made their home in Laveen and currently reside there with their little grey cat, Iona. Ernie is a graphic design artist and they recently celebrated their14th anniversary.
